I am just retired from the Army with just short of thirty years and wanted to move back to Ottawa because it is a good place to live. I am finding out now, that perhaps it is not.

Taxes are a killer Posted On: 1/30/2010 10:01:58 AM
Although Ottawa is a very nice place to live, living here is becoming rediculous...as taxes go. I bought a house less then four years ago and my taxed went from approaximately $1300.00 to $4020.00. That is over a 300% tax raise. I feel as if the city/State is trying to get ride of the middle class. I am seriously contiplating moving. Enough is enough.
