5/2/2019Yup, the angry reply from the Pierre resident sums up the activities here other than hunting (in season) and fishing: ' bowling ally, the movie theater, the parks, the tourist attractions, the discovery center, the Zestos ice cream shop' Wow, what more could you ask for? Hookup? If you like women 40-50 lbs. overweight, drunk, uncultured, you're in great shape! Not to mention all the ones drugged up. The culture in Pierre has most people getting married just out of high school and popping out kids. What else is there to do? People with ambition leave after high school. The bars are depressing and the selection never improves. Yes, it is safe here, comparatively speaking, even for worthless worms. I suggest the 'u are too lazy to get off your A$$! ' comment be directed to all the chubby, overweight women here. I've spoken with far more people here that agree with me than disagree. Bailey, I suggest you continue taking your medication.

2/11/2014Since coming here, I have gone through cabin fever several times. The State of South Dakota capitol is located here and has stressed it's need to lure professionals to this area, hopefully people with no motivation what so ever to establish any kind of personal life. This town does absolutely nothing to provide any kind of activities in Pierre unless you like fishing and hunting. There is nothing to do unless you like to go to bars! THE PEOPLE THAT MANAGE PIERRE SEEM TO WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY! There are NO programs to improve the personal quality of life here. Pierre is several hours away from Sioux Falls or Rapid City, so unless you enjoy driving and spending money on gas, you are out of luck to escape the empty nothing routine here. God help you if you're single!
