With nearly 200,000 people in the metro Green Bay area, traffic congestion has become a major problem. Summers have become extremely hot and humid with dewpoints reaching higher numbers than places in Florida. When the wind blows in from the Southeast, we have unhealthy air alerts. The paper industy has polluted the air quality here. The Fox River superfund clean-up with removal of PCB's is in full-swing. Our water costs have gone way up with the addition of the Lake Michigan pipeline and utilities have become costly. Go up to the Northwoods Wisconsin to find pristine air to breathe.
