The previous posting stated that is sunny here in L.A. which is very true. There are seasons of rain but very rare. Mostly we have no seasons just sun. HOWEVER, the people here are far from easy going. Everyone is always in a hurry and if you have ever driven the freeways you will see people stressed from all the traffic. Even when you're in line at the grocery stores people are in a hurry and anxious. The only easy going people in L.A. are the children. :D

I have three kids ages 7-13 and we're thinking about moving there. Just curious if it is a family friendly town (especially towards those from California) and how the schools are???

All the signs are in Chinese, Korean or Vietnamese. It feels like you're in Asia. Housing is crazy, $500,000 for a house that is 60 years old. Life here is expensive and soon English will be the foreign language. Don't recommend even considering here unless you speak and read Mandarin, Korean, etc.

It is way too expensive here! A one bedroom apartment is about 1200 / month here and houses average $500,000 for a "fixer upper". Great schooll district and very nice people. Low crime...great weather. If you are rolling in the dough and can afford it, I would recommend living here!
