Seattle is known to be a rainy place but in reality it is the gray skies that are dominate here. Rain is usually little more then drizzles, sprinkles,heavy fog, or a mist. Most people who live here don't use umbrellas. If it is raining hard enough to warrant an umbrella it is probably windy too which makes the apparatus useless.
