Located at the center of several national parks and recreation areas; Kanab is on the Utah,Arizona boarder. At 5,000 feet, summers are cooler than St George Utah and yet the duffers can golf year round with the snow level dropping to 6,000' on the cliffs surrounding Kanab. Hiking and four wheel exploration routes take you into the Colorado plateau country of canyon and mesas.Spring and fall offer 70 -80 degree days and cool nights. Summer months require the knowledge of where you are going and taking plenty of water to prevent heat exhaustion and dehydration. Winter can provide temperature swings of up to 40 degrees from early morning temps at 17 degrees to 60 degrees in the afternoon. With over 300 sunny days a year Kanab is an outdoor photographers delight.
