Charlotte is a better choice at this point. I do not see Atlanta getting out of the economic/financial woes anytime soon.

The only people who are able to tolerate Atlanta are the ones who were born and raised in the South and people who are accustomed to rougher places than Atlanta. If you're an immigrant and you are coming to live in Atlanta as a refugee or political asylum you did not chose to be here, you were given the opportunity by the American Government and you will take what is given to you. For those who know better Atlanta is mediocre at best. From 'cheap' housing to weak educational system.

Not all bad but not all that is cracked up to be. Must be very selective to have quality from education to housing.
