Balanced review of Greenville, SC

TU so much for the honest review. I sincerely agree with your Red vs Blue issue. I currently live in NC and have the same issue here. It is getting a little better as all the Yankees are coming in steadily. I am trying to find a new town and am reading all reviews I can. TU for both pro and con advise. And, I am just as confused as you about the pro-everything??

For your own good do not live in Kalamazo - 11/11/2021
I lived there for 38 years while raising my children. I agree with the entertainment and schools that are stated in this. As for rudeness, I also agree but will add that it is both men and women of the older ages. The drugs and the crime increased exponentially from 1980's to now. Traffic is bad, housing is terrible, weather is crap and crime is high. Do not move there!!

I relocated from the northern Great Lakes area to Waynesville, NC in 2004. I had very little problem with the locals, most were accepting. The few that did have issues, I just told them I was tired of snow and FL was too hot. I stayed there for 6 years before going north to TN which has an even lower cost of living but have a hard time with 'outsiders'.

Waynesville, NC

Small town community - 7/31/2008
Waynesville is a small town trying to keep up with the big dogs across the mountains. It puts on shows and have festivals downtown but it is not good enough. I have lived here two years going on three and I have to drive to work a half hour away in Asheville to find a good paying job and then have to work a second job just to make ends meet. It has not nightlife and the recreation is not near enough to get to easily, you must drive at least a half hour in any direction to find anything like trails or camping or rafting which is what they advertise they have. Nearby Maggie Valley is a tourist trap and outragiously expensive to visit. I am glad I going away and finding better housing and jobs.

Greeneville, TN

Cost of Living - 3/6/2008
I just recently moved to Greeneville from another state that is much more exprensive housing-wise. Greeneville is marginally better in that respect but the cost of utilities is outragious. The groceries is about average and gasoline is the same everywhere. Medical is about par for most places I have been also.
