The Norwood section of Bronx,NY is a pocket of NYC that comprises of working class families and many children. Overseen by the 52nd Precinct, crime has decreased from 2002-2006, and residential ownership has been on the incline along Mosholu Parkway South community.
Footsteps from the Botanical Gardens and a tree-lined parkway, Norwood offers plenty of foliage and small parks for children to play. Although the neighborhood is beginning to define itself from street to street, you can still find a great community atmosphere and residents who have been in the neighborhood for over 30-years. Norwood offers a truly diverse population and a wonderful community shopping strip no more than 2-4 blocks from your doorstep in any direction. As a resident of the neighborhood for nearly 10 years, I think it offers an above-average quality of life for those that are single and new and growing young families.
