you pretty much put new Smyrna in a nut shell

Sebastopol, CA

hidden treasure of america - 3/21/2009
it may be pricey, but that really defines the town as who truly loves it. the cost of living is something to think about. i think it is a wonderful town and would be willing to live on a tight budget just to live in such a place. i even hope to one day call it home.

Sutter Creek, CA

a place to escape - 3/21/2009
sutter creek is a great place, it is rather dry and barren but i love it. most of the county is amazing and all the younger locals i have kicked it with here fun and i had a great time. it can get a little clod in the winter and a little hot in the summer but over all its nice and full of beauty.

Daytona beach is horrible! its dirty, its scummy, and crowded for how bad of a place it is. i spend at least 3 days a week there and am trying to relocate. its a hot headache

Ben Lomond, CA

home sweet home - 3/21/2009
out of all the places i have been to in my life, ben lomond is where my soul longs for. the air is perfect. i honestly feel that my lungs get the best air in the world when i am in B-lo.it may be small and not really have a down town and the locals may be "mountain folk" but i love the mountains and trees i personally feel it is paradise. i hope it will never change. i don't think it will...

Santa Cruz, CA

the good the bad and the ugly - 3/21/2009
If you are not into fast living with lose morals then santa cruz is not the place for you if you are young. i can agree with just about everyone on santa cruz. it is pricey to an extreme, there are crazy mountain bikers. politics are wacko and college kids do run ramped. but i do share a lot of political views as the liberals, i love mountain biking and the crazy politics make the town what it is. it is not what it was when my parents were young there but it is still something different and funky. it will always have a special place in my heart. the crime is kinda high but you only really hear the negative. i have never been bothered. some punk kids tried to break into my house when i was little. but before they could help them selves to the tv they realized someone was home and ran. and yeah there are very aggressive bums but you learn how to live with them. and the locals kind of are jerks. unless you are one of them. i honestly think santa cruz could be better but for some reason when ever i leave i find my self wanting to come back...

New Smyrna Beach, FL

a fun place to grow up - 3/21/2009
New Smyrna Beach is a real gem. that is if you don't mind rain every day in the summer for atleast an hour. it is a very humid town so expect to run your AC every season except winter. over all everyone is pretty nice. it is a fairly right winged and religion is a big issue with people and can seem to be rather narrow minded at times. moving from santa cruz ca to nsb fl while in high school i noticed a change. nsb is a good place to raise a family although i would rate the education system as poor, they are safe schools and you can learn good social skills.there is high crime among kids. and a lot of locals feel that the drug use is very high in this town. i think that's a joke coming from santa cruz. And if your not from the south you will be shocked at how old fashion new smyrna trys to stay. but its paradise that doesn't come at as high of a price then California... i mean there are no parking meters in town. all paring is free!
