Small Town Living -
9/28/2010A very small town and everything to go along with it. While I value some of the small town characteristics, others I could do without. Mountain View is wonderful for raising families. The one thing that I would have to complain about is that when you move into Mountain View from "off", you are forever considered an outsider. One person questioned a local man about when she would be considered being from Mountain View, and was told "Not in your lifetime." Aside from that, the area is beautiful. The Ozark Mountains stretch for miles. Rivers and lakes close by. National Forest, complete with caves and natural springs, just miles away. In town are a few musical/revue type live shows, and music on the courthouse square.
