San Diego is not walkable, nor friendly to bikes, -
6/4/2010The view, in San Diego, is always wonderful. The weather is about as good as it gets, unless you're uncomfortable with a bit of humidity around July, August.
As I'm accustomed in living in cities with excellent transport and a traditional city grid, I have found the 6 1/2 years I have spent in San Diego to be extremely frustrating. Certainly, I can drive to the park or a beach and walk. But can I walk from one section to another section? No. That's because there are vallies with snakes and bush in them! That includes the middle of San Diego!
One very definitely needs a car in San Diego.
