9/20/2007 I suppose if you have never been to a true large and crime ridden city, straying from the surrounding utopian areas into the dinky little city of Spartanburg might scare the uncultured innocent, but for anyone who actually travels and has seen or lived in true big cities, Spartanburg seems pretty quaint.

9/20/2007My wife and I found Boiling Springs by accident while looking for a second home. Everyone that we have met has been extremely pleasant and they make us feel right at home. The area is very affordable and convenient to everything. It takes less than an hour to get to Ashville, NC and is only three hours to Charleston. You will find that many of the people living in Boiling Springs are former Big City dwellers from the northeast and the south but they are just as friendly as the locals, and moved to get away from big city problems.
Spartanburg is our neighbor and is not a bad place at all (in spite of what others have posted).
