8/9/2006I believe that we have the best weather anywhere in the south. We go through all of the seasons, but we barely touch on winter. The spring and fall months are the best. We have many days in October through November and in late March through June where it is in the lower to mid 70s. The winters can be cold around January and February, but we rarely ever see tempertures below 50 and snow is rare. The summers are very hot in mid July through the first of September, but it is nothing compared to what our neighbors in Texas experience. I would say that the weather is great in every month except for July and August.

OKC is growing -
7/19/2006I just recently read that OKC has purchased the Seatle Sonics. The Bricktown area is really booming downtown, and with a professional sports team moving in we can only expect the area to grow even more. Anyone can find something to do in this city and everyone knows "Okies" are the friendliest folks around. I would recommend this city to everyone except die hard liberals because we are mostly a very red city.

5/30/2006Tulsa does have a very high crime rate, but I have lived around the area long enough to know that the high cime rate areas are all the areas in the north and northeast portions of Tulsa. Highway 51 basically divides Tulsa. Everything south of 51 is great and everything north needs to be avoided. The parts of Tulsa by the river in the central area are nice as well as all of south Tulsa. Crime is real bad in north and northeast Tulsa especially around the Turley area, but if you live south of highway 51 you have nothing to worry about. I love Tulsa and I would not want to live anywhere else.
