1/6/2015I have lived in Arvada for more than 17 years and just love it. We are raising our kids here (now high schoolers) and could not think of a better place for them to go to school. Feels like a small town, even though it's not. Housing can be spendy - especially so the farther west you go. You will not regret moving here! You and your family will fit right in. Traffic to Boulder and Denver I would say at about 30 minutes (give or take). Crime is limited and more of the petty variety. I feel very safe here. Weather varies since we are just west of the foothills and it's been freezing lately but nothing you won't get used to. Usually it snows then is gone in a day or two. It's the best kept secret about Colorado. If you have already moved here - I hope you like it. Good luck!! PS If you are still not here yet, I can also give you good school information (I work for Jeffco School district and know a lot about the area private schools as well) :)

Great schools -
1/6/2015I work for Jeffco Schools and really have to say I love the school I work for and the schools my kids have attended. There is a lot going on with our new board but I say the teachers care about the students and my kids are getting a great education.
