Danville, VA
Not the ideal place for me.. -
1/2/2008Danville Virginia is an okay place to settle if you are white, make at least 40k/yr and want to live in a small quiet city where not much goes on. I am all of the above with the exception of the last. It's no secret that small souther cities/town tend to be more conservative and old-fashioned; Danville is no exception, and I want no part of it. In my opinion, it is not an ideal place to start a family due to the prejudism and close mindedness of the people that live here.
Don't get me wrong, some of the nicest people you will ever meet live in Danville. But as a whole, Danville is not very tolerant to people of different races, sexual orientations, or people who just have different views and opions on things.
