2/19/2007jennifer did not understand my argument for portland. If she did she would not have made retarded blanket statements like, "thats the way the kkk thinks" I did not call anyone an idiot, merely pessimists which is exactly what I said they were, they find the bad in everything. There are bad things in portland, like too many meth addicts, bad politics, way too high taxes and people are not that friendly, but I was replying to other people's arguments that simply were not true. The arguments I made were not opinions but facts. If you think that the weather "feels" like 11 months, then you are a pessimist because of the stat I quoted in my former argument. Portland is a beautiful city with many great outdoor activities. If you go to Portland and think it sucks, you are not finding the good in the area. Most people agree that the northwest is one of the most beautiful places in the country. And, please stop trying to sound smart when you probably have no idea what you are talking about. How many places have you lived? I have lived in many cities and I do usually find the best in each city. And, have you been to LA? there are some good things there, but there is a clear reason everybody calls it the jungle.

6/27/2006if you think dc is breathtaking, then youve never been out west have you. it is pretty but nothing compared to seattle, portland, san francisco, or other outdoor places in the west. dc is cool because of all the history, its ok if you like crowded places, high taxes, expensive living, high crime, horrible traffic, very liberal elitest people who think they are special because they work in dc. also, the 5 dollar toll on a bridge north of baltimore is cool too. i like the charm of dc but all the other stuff makes it hard to live here.

6/13/2006first of all im glad people rip on portland, it keeps them away. they are just wrong. this stuff about portland being grey for 9 months is just not true, look at the stats, portland averages 142 sunny days/year. that is closer to 5 months than 3. also, other things ive read on here about portland traffic sucking is not true either, all things are relative, portland traffic is good compared to other big cities and even some smaller. albuquerque has way worse traffic, so does dc, houston, la, even seattle is 10 times worse than portland. the people who complained are simply pessimists who find the bad in everything, you can find good things about everywhere except LA.
