10/22/2014I've been through Columbia and think this is a very unfair and biased review. How very negative to paint such a bleak picture. You sound like someone with an axe to grind. Obviously your experiences are colored by your negative viewpoint and your attitude which doesn't give your opinion much meaning. If everything is as bad as you say Columbia wouldn't be in the top 10 places in US News and World Report of places to retire. Try to be a little more objective and you might have more credibility.

Lots of Opportunity if Willing to Work -
10/22/2014Being just South of Columbus and in close proximity to the "heart of it all" has it advantages. It's a very nice community with a wholesome family atmosphere. There are various employment opportunities in and around GC, and housing is very affordable. It's not what I would consider a bedroom community, since there are plenty of people that both live and work in GC. But if you want to enjoy cultural, entertainment, and recreational activities Columbus is just a short 10 minutes away up I71.
