Covington, KY

Living in Covington - 10/22/2012
Covington is an amazing city with beautiful old homes, a rich history and just minutes away from Cincinnati Ohio and all the culture and wonderful events there. The property is value priced, the tax base is good and the city seems to really be trying to make something good happen. There is however a undercurrent of desperation fueled by rampant poverty and drug abuse here. Prostitution is an ongoing issue that along with heroin and crack cocaine seem to have the city by the throat. That being said the people I have as neighbors seem to be interested in rehabbing the community and I see a lot of folks here who seem to be willing to fight to retake the city from the drugs. I moved here from Florida and I am not sorry I did. A lot of good people here.
