Quality of Life - 10/18/2008
Very low cost of living, fairly good quality of life. It is great to wake up in the morning in my condo across the river in Covington, have breakfast and walk down the street to grab some coffee while watching the sun rise over the carew tower, then head to my job at Procter and Gamble in my car with no traffic problems. At night I go to Newport, as they have a good nightlife scene there. Everyone here is happy, and I moved here from Indianapolis, and I love how much more soul this city has. In January, my family had to go to Italy as I still have family that lives there and there was a death. Going to a small city in Italy is a big deal, and we were not ready for it. I bought to Delta tickets right out of CVG, drove 15 minutes to the airport with my family, relax in CVG for an hour and get to my family's hometown in Italy with 1 connection. There is no city where this deal could have been easier.

Great Economy - 10/18/2008
7 fortune 500 companies are bases in cincy. Thats the most in the midwest(tied with minneapolis) Procter and Gamble is based in the city, and this company is one of the most influential corporations in the country. We have Great American insurance headquartered here, Kroger Grocers, Fifth third, Scripps Corporation and dozens of other large companies. New business opportunities will be moving in the our new 660 foot skyscraper, and we have a very large radio station based in this city. Delta Airlines is an influence in the city, with a large base at Cov/Cincy international, there are many pilots, flight attendants, and office agents based in Cincy.

Good Place To live, but it is a big city - 10/18/2008
When people move to Cincinnati, they often think of a small city and start comparing to towns like traverse city, michigan or topeka, ks, but they don't do the research, so when they move here and hear about homicides on the news, and finally find out there is crime here, they seem to be astonished. CINCINNATI IS A BIG CITY!!!!! Its population says it is 330,000, but this is just the actual downtown which is rather small. If you go across the river, there is Covington, KY, which is one of the largest cities in Kentucky with around 100,000 residents. The MSA population is almost 2.2 million. That is bigger than Indy, Cleveland, and Columbus. Cincinnati is very deceptive in its size. With the size of the city, there is obviously going to be some crime. The metropolitan as well as the city is growing very much, which is obviously going to cause some growing pains. Life here is very good, and crime is reasonable for the size of Cincy.I love Queen City.
