re: stay away! -
11/15/2007I live in Lynnwood too. Who are you kidding---it's already ruined.We call it "Californicated".Also, we're overrun with illegals. If you go to Wal-Mart or Ross it's like you're in a foreign country---no one knows how to speak English!!! I wish we could move but my life (aka grandkids) are here.

9/12/2007Lynnwood, Wa and surrounding area is not a very nice place to live anymore. We've lived in the area for 40 years and hopefully we will be able to get out. We are now retired and plan to look elsewhere, although it will be hard to leave our children and grandchildren. The quality of life in this area has declined drastically. The traffic is beyond awful. It doesn't look clean and neat as it used to. All these new people have moved in and of course now our county council and governor expect the voters to approve huge tax increases in addition to those we already suffer to correct what their bad decisions have caused. All our government officials in this area seem interested in is which town can build the biggest convention/events center. The new homes being built are on postage stamp lots, the children must play in the streets because they have no yards. Many people are not keeping up their yards. I am afraid to live in my own home anymore because of all the local crime we read about in the newspaper. I used to love this area but now I really want to leave.
