11/24/2010I think that you are a little misinformed about " us ". As for the Higher Education, There is Penn State, Temple, Harrisburg U, Kaplan, and HACC, which by the way is one of the best community colleges in the USA. Just saying. It has alot of courses and some even Universities do not have. Also for this cutlural waste land you claim it to be, it has some amazing art communities, and full of history. Also for the Intolorance you also claim " we " have. Harrisburgs gay Community is fairly large. Also because of Harrisburg's size, it is surounded by beautiful hills and Moutains, with rivers creeks and wild life. Also the whole H word and N word, that is in every city, so if you think that it is just harrisburg, i have no idea what utopia you think you live in now. I will admit that it has its faults, but just like people, everyone does. Also if the city " in your opinion" was so grotesque, instead of complaining, you could have done something about it instead of whining about it. i hope the next time you visit " our " city, maybe you could just take a look around and see that it is not so bad after all

It's Not That Bad -
11/24/2010Harrisburg is a some what underrated city... it has its problems with education, transportation, and infrastructure. But it makes up for that is its cultural experience. For such a SMALL city it does a amazing job on its art in the city, and its higher education is not bad either, Penn State, Temple, Harrisburg U, Kaplan, and HACC, which by the way is one of the best commuity colleges on the east coast and even the USA. So if you have your doubts about how the city appeals, remember that all cities have there problems, and because of its size, it is doing a pretty good job on trying to keep it in check.
