4/9/2011Contrary to the last reply, not all of the people in Austin who currently hold jobs are entitled UT grads willing to work for criminally low wages because they think Austin is "cool". What a bitter, lazy, insulting and uninformed comment. I'm sorry you can't find a job, but is it possible YOU'RE doing something wrong? And goodness, if you can't find the job you want after two years, leave Austin! Go to DFW!

10/9/2010It seems these forums are always littered with negative opinions of people who had one or two bad experiences. Trust the fact that Fort Collins is consistently rated as a top-rated best place to live among most major news/magazine outlets. There are crappy people everywhere...I'm mystified how people simply chalk this up to the town itself.
Fort Collins is world-class when it comes to friendliness, affordability, quality of life, fun, and recreation.

10/9/2010Wow...what a terrible review. You couldn't be more wrong and hypocritical - California is the birthplace of cocky, mean assholes...also, where did you get your stat about foreclosures? CO and Fort Collins have been very affected...why don't you take a look at California's rate? Your attitude is exactly why Coloradans don't like all things Californian. Thanks for moving out.

10/9/2010Springs was once known as a conservative, right-wing Christian mecca, but due to some recent events people and the town politics have become much more moderate.
Not tons of music venues or loads of amazing restaurants, but the climate and access to nature more than make up for it. A+.
