Vacation in Redmond, May 2007 -
6/11/2007My husband and I had a vaction in Redmond this year.We stayed at the Eaglecrest resort and had a fabulous time in Redmond,Bend and some of the other surrounding areas. We drove around quite a bit during the week to see what it was like,since we own a townhome in Redmond.(We live in San Diego)
We loved the fact that there is so many outdoor things to do,fishing,hiking,biking,golfing,etc.....The prices of gas and food are very similar to San Diego, (ouch) but the housing is more affordable,especially in Redmond compared to Bend. There are all the shops we would want in Bend and more are being built in Redmond.Redmond still feels like a quaint town, compared to Bend.The hospitals I heard form the locals were very good and have many services to offer the ever growing population.And most locals were very friendly.We had heard that we would be treated poorly coming from California.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Redmond and will be back,maybe for good.
