9/8/2009Wow..I have heard this before - actually from a realtor! i spent 2 weeks there last christmas and loved it...it is really sad that such a magical place can host such bad energy...Why is this?? Is it an influx of people who have jsut moved there and not committed to the area..or is it snobbery...or resentment..anyway. thanks for your honesty.. I was researching the best areas for baby boomers...and found this.

9/8/2009I have lived here for almost 10 years...It works for me as a resident as I run a successful business here and teach at the college.
I am frustrated at times becasue we are so far from the airport and culturally the area is a bit weak...and the economy has of course affected everything...but that is true for most smaller cities in cal.
I will write more when i can...
