I would like to know more about Lovell. Can anyone tell me something about this town. Crime, Housing etc...?
My husband and I want to move to Wyoming possibly, so is this town even worth looking into?

6/30/2007I was born and raised in good ole' Ypsitucky/ or/Little Detroit, depending on what mood you're in.
My brother still lives here. Why?? Don't know. I believe that it is for sentimental reasons, that I will not go into here.
Ypsi was a great place when I was a child about oh....35 yrs. ago. The whole downtown was full of shopping stores, gift stores etc... It was great. We could walk to the Dairy Queen downtown all by ourselves without a care in the world. I can't say that today I would let my children do the same.
I was up there in June of 2006 and was just saddened at the cost of homes and how the town seemed to have been stuck in a time warp. It was the first time I had visited in 10 years, and little had changed. Crime is at an 8 and 7 there, according to this web-site, and I was a little shocked it wasn't higher, considering what I saw walking around downtown. Hookers are the only ones that feel safe here I think walking those streets.
If you are looking for a place that is safe and that you feel safe walking the streets at night...this is not a town for you. If you are looking for extremely high property taxes, then you have come to the right place.
I will always have a special place in my heart your Ypsi, and I hope to one day eat the words that I have written on this page.

6/27/2007I know you can't get away from drugs....unfortunately!! However, what drugs does Sioux Falls have a problem with...if any at all?? In Orlando Florida, it is everywhere. I have even seen drug deals go down right in front of my own eyes while driving by!!

6/27/2007I might be relocating to Sioux Falls from Orlando Florida. I hate it here, due to crime, and the humidity sucks LOL
There is a saying here. "Assume that there is an alligator in every body of water!". Needless to say we don't go in the lakes much here. Even the natural springs have them, and I'm not up much on being gator bait :)
I'm originally from Michigan and grew up going to the lake for every 4th of July and camping.
Are the lakes nice and clean and are there alot of woods by them?

Don't move here!! -
6/24/2007I have lived in Apopka for the past 24 years and have seen it deteriorate over the past 5 years excruciatingly fast.
I cannot go out a night without having a firearm attached at my hip. Just go onto the web and look into Apopka, and you will see news articles on how people (a LOT of people) are taking up firearms around here. Most of the crime here is commited by juveniles who parents have no control over. Everything from armed burglary, home invasions (occupied and un-occupied dwellings),car theft....you name it we have it here.
I'm only stating all of this on here, because we are looking to find a place to move to that has very little of this going on. I think you should hear the truth about Apopka and surrounding areas as well. I would want others to tell me about any of the places that I'm looking into, in an honest manner. I am the head of our neighborhood watch program in a community of over 500 homes, and I have reliable resources to back my claims up. Make an educated decision, and consider moving somewhere other than Apopka Florida!!

Crime Hills/ Hover Hills -
6/24/2007This town did not get the nick names Crime Hills/ Hover Hills (because of the frequent helicpoter's fyling over) for no reason. You might want to check your crime stats for this city again. I find it hard to beleive that they only got a 3 on crime.
