As a Realtor in Vancouver, I am very familiar with the neighborhoods and homes for sale in Vancouver. Vancouver is basically a suburb of Portland Oregon without the state income tax. It has all the advantages of being part of a large metropolitan area, lots of cultural actvities, great shopping, but better schools and lower crime. Housing prices are lower in Vancouver, and property taxes are lower as well.
