Paradise Found -
4/24/2008Living in Lahaina,Maui is really a dream come true. Beautiful weather, lovely beaches and much to do. Yes, it is expensive but what special item isn't? Homes are high priced but there is never a day that you can't go to the beach (for free) and spend the day. Families celebrate birthdays, holidays and sometimes just eat dinner at the beach. The evenings are warm although it get's dark early and there are hardly any bugs! Food is expensive but native fruits are plentiful and cheap. Eat healthy and you are in the right spot.
You may feel a bit of "rock fever" now and again but you can easily fly to a neighboring island for the weekend or drive to Hana and swim in the 'seven sacred pools'. Yes, there is a big gap in the have/have not here but that is true of most places. If you love your life it will certainly love you back!
