Moorpark, CA

Climate & - 6/5/2012
1:00PM , prevailing on shore breeze's keep
the temps. very nice in Moorpark. The farther east (towards Los Angeles) the warmer/ hotter, it gets. Sept. thru October the the Hot/ dry east winds can blow hard (Santana's is what they are called). North & west of Moorpark you will see citrus, avacado & strawberries. Metro train service west to Ventura &east to Los Angeles stops here too. The 23 freeway ties the 118 fwy to Simi Valley heading east from here & also ties into the 101 fwy to the south into Thousand Oaks. Lots of slump stone block walls in the residential areas, several parks & green belts. The landscape is brown & dry during the summer months , give it some winter rains &the hills green up nice. Oak trees dot the hills. Rural areas have horse properties along with citrus farms.
