Cincinnati, OH

Regarding the natives viewing you as "Leftist" because you recycle, I hear you! I have lived in two other cities, both more diverse, green, healthy, and tolerant. It amazes me how people here view my eating habits. The fact that I eat vegetables seems to be quite remarkable to many.

San Diego, CA

re: San Diego is so not where I want to be - 9/11/

I've been reading people's comments about multiple cities, try it.  You will find that most people post extreme views, either people hate a city or love it.  There are not many "reviewers" on this site who offer a balanced view of a city.  It makes it hard to get a real sense of what it would feel like for me to live in a particular place.  I would ask you to consider visiting San Diego, if you can, and see how you feel about it. I am researching cities in the hopes of relocating and, honestly, the comments made on this website make every city sound kinda terrible. I lived in San Diego for five years and I was happy there, the biggest challenge is affording housing and the limited industries in which to work. The loss of my job drove me out of California, I miss it a lot. Good luck on your search.

Cincinnati, OH

Traditional Family Town - 7/4/2011
As everyone would agree, Cincinnati is a good place to live if you are caucasian, heterosexual, married, and have or want to have children. Newcomers are not embraced and diversity is not well tolerated. It's very Christian and conservative, it is possible to find a niche if you have other views or beliefs, but it takes work.
