A good place to raise a family. Much of the jobs in the area are from the power plants (they're safe!) and the aluminum facility. There is also a state college and the school district itself is really quite good for a town of its size. There is usually some debate over the teacher salaries being too high, but the students' test scores are above average, and as someone who's come out of the Oswego schools, I would say it is worth it.
