Payson, Illinois is a small town in Adams County with a population of 1,873 people. The school district here consists of two schools: Payson-Seymour Elementary School and Payson-Seymour High School. Both schools have an excellent rating from the National Center for Education Statistics, which provides data on student achievement, safety, and financial resources among other factors. The elementary school offers classes for pre-K through 5th grade while the high school has educational programs for students in grades 6th-12th. Students are given a variety of options to choose from with classes ranging from traditional core subjects like math and science to foreign language and art. All teachers are dedicated to helping students reach their full potential academically while also providing extracurricular activities so that the local youth can stay involved in the community.
