Hydro, Oklahoma is a small rural town with a population of just under 1,500 residents. Despite its small size, Hydro is home to several schools providing quality education options for local children. The town is served by the Hydro-Eakly Public School District which includes four campuses: Hydro High School, Eakly Elementary School, Eakly Secondary School and Shady Grove Elementary School. Each school has strong ratings and offer students a rigorous curriculum as well as extracurricular activities such as theater and sports teams. The district also works closely with the community to ensure that all students receive an excellent education that will prepare them for success beyond high school. With strong support from parents and teachers alike, the schools of Hydro are considered some of the best in Southwest Oklahoma.
