| 2/20/2012 | student | I have enjoyed my time spent at ECHS! I have had mostly great teachers who were more than willing to help me with whatever I needed. I have been involved with a majority of the school's great clubs and they have helped me a lot in life! I would definitely recommend ECHS (especially compared to the other options in the area). |
| 11/4/2008 | student | Too many people! Not enough classes to choose from! I'm taking the same classes over just to have enough credits to graduate! |
| 10/15/2007 | parent | Classes can be too crowded, social science instruction sub-par, no music at all other than band, academic programs not stringent enough, and would like to see more variety of electives (more business, accounting and computers). |
| 3/25/2005 | former student | I would pursue other options before enrolling my child in ECHS. I was a graduate in 1995. Academics was mediocre, and instructors clearly taught the test. The school offered a sub-par drama prgm and a decent band prgm. The only other programs offered were the big 3.. football, basketball, baseball. After joining the USAF, and speaking with individuals from other parts of the country, I now recognize what a poor education I received. The staff at ECHS, from principal to teachers-aide, has the same backwards-thinking good-ole-boy mentality that the town thrives on. No, I would not recommend ECHS to anyone that has an option. However, considering Tallassee, Wetumka, and other surrounding areas, this school may be the only option. I recommend private, parochial schools instead. V/R Phillip C. Douglas |
| 2/3/2005 | former student | I attended this school for 3 years and I think that this school was the best school I ever went to and truthfully I miss it like crazy but now I am back in wisconsin so I have to make a fresh start.-Nakita Thomas |
| 1/30/2005 | former student | I graduated from ECHS in 2002. I would not have wanted to receive my education from any other school. The principal and faculty are very caring and concerned about the students' education. The school strives for excellence first in the classroom and then on the field. ECHS sets high goals in every area of education. You would not regret sending your student to Elmore County High School. It is, in my opinion, the definition of success. |
