The teachers are really cool and there are lots of classes for peoples different interests. The sports and band are very successful also. For the most part the students are really nice too. The administration isn't too strict but they do enforce the rules which is good |
| 9/16/2011 | parent | I have one child who graduated from Basha and one still attending on open enrollment. The school has been such a positive experience for the whole family. Mr James, the principal is always visable and very involved. My children have been involved in sports, clubs, honors classes and much more and we love the school spirit! Several teachers and advisors have gone above and beyond to help my children succeed. I feel Basha High offers a well rounded education. Both of my children earned the AIMS waiver due to their educational experience and still had fun in sports much more. |
| 5/20/2010 | parent | I've been very impressed with Basha H.S so much so that my son will be attending his senior year as an open enrollment student. We live in the Higley School Distrcit, but there is no way we'd pull our son out of Basha. We've had nothing but positive experiences with the administration and faculty. Also my son is taking mostly AP or Honors courses and we find that the teachers go above and beyond when it comes to preparing our students for secondary education and the "real life." I have 5 additional children that I look forward to attending Basha in the future! Go Basha Bears!!!! |

My daughter has taken mostly Honor and AP classes and I've found her to have extremely passionate teachers that are willing to go the extra mile to help those students who want to excell! What more can you ask for? I'm very active at the school and love that parents are welcome to be involved and I feel that makes a difference as well. The kids (for the most part) are respectful and well mannered. Keep up the great work Basha! Go Bears! |

I'm a senior this year and this year especially, the rules are getting tighter. And that's a good thing. Basha's been a great experience for me, for the education and the life lessons. I'm proud to say I'm graduating from Basha. |

Students are allowed to do whatever they want in the classrooms, including talking, being disrespectful to the teachers and otherwise making the learning environment difficult for those who want to learn. The teachers do not have support when it comes to discipline issues. As a parent and teacher (for the last 17 years) I think it is very sad what our schools have come to. The stats look good when compared to other districts, but when you see for yourself and your kids tell you what goes on, it's a totally different perspective. |

To accept inexperienced and who you know players over visablly talented and more experienced players with high grades says alot about the fairness and integrity of this high school. What are you representing as adults and coaches? The athletic department and teachers need to be re-evaluated and instucted in balanced,fair criteria shown for each student, but it has to start with the administration and raising the standards of excellent in unbiased evaluations. |

The one thing I am truely happy with is communicating with my son's teachers by E-mail. School Campus is very clean and inviting, I truely believe this is going to be one of my son's BEST Years at Basha High School. |

Some of the teachers feel that they are entitled and are not there for the right reasons. Next year will be interesting with a new principal. Hopefully, they can bring Basha around to being a good school. |

Admin. seems to only care about sports and money making ideas (child care). We moved here from NY and are very dissappointed in the school. |

Something has to be wrong if most of the counselor's have left. Also, student government's ideas are often shut down that wouldn't normally be shut down at other schools in the district. I just think administration should lighten up a bit. |

Basha has an extreme amount of talent that is not being utilized. It seems that it's not what you know, it's who you know. How unfortunate for the kids and the school Let's be fare. |

I think academics are fairly strong, but the high school is so new it doesn't have the clout of an established contender (as far as on-looking colleges are concerned). Sports are up and coming - decent teams in the major sports, but has suffered early on (again) due to newness of the school. 5 years from now, I believe Basha will be contending with other local high schools (i.e. Hamilton) for area title(s). Music program is good - way above other schools, yet behind some of the dominant musically inclined programs. Only knock on Basha is the auditorium used for orchestral and choir recitals - having visited many local high schools for various events, I feel Basha's is way to small and an extremely poor design. |

I am very pleased with the Adminstration, and their constant support. The extracurricular activities are great, and new organizations forming every year. The best advice I can give you, it is to tell your child to get involved. |

Parents are very involved with very many things such as involvment of school Dances, Plays, Concerts, Sports, and other extracurricular activities. Basha just started a new program called the A+ Lab which can be very helpful if your child is needing to make up credits. Students are very active, and injoy what there accomplishing. Basha isn't rated so high on a drug free school, but it's getting better. |

Teachers have been prompt to respond toemails and seem genuinly concerned about our son's progress. I am a substitute in Chandler Unified School District and have worked on all three high school campuses. I have seen more respect and better behavior from the students at Basha High. |

My friends and i feel left out of so many things that the school does have, because it's just not us. And the things that we would like to have, just aren't reconized by the people and staff of the school. But Basha being a new school, i can except this fact.
