The wide range of academic levels can reach most kids. The music program (band and strings) is outstanding. It is all concert, there is no marching band. The sports include all the majors except football. High school sports require a lot of travel (up to 4 hours one way)as there are no other 1A schools in Flagstaff. Types of clubs depend on student interest and adult advisor availability. Community service is promoted. About 25% of parents are regularly, highly involved, but over 95% contribute time, talent and money when asked. We have run into a 'clique' mentality among some parents, staff and teachers but overall, the students are sincerely welcoming, friendly and supportive of each other. |

Students at NPA consistently achieve the highest scores on the Stanford 9 tests in the City of Flagstaff. Parents of NPA students are a diverse and talented group, actively engaged in their childrens' education, who contribute their time and talents generously to the school. Parent participation on the governing board and in the PTO is encouraged. |
