5/16/2012parentThis school is a awesome school. The staff and teachers really care about the students and they get to know the students personally and the parents. Everyone is so polite and friendly. The best part about this school is that they teach great. My son and daughter both attend and they have improved so much at this school and they love their teachers. My daughter says Ms Zipp is awesome.
8/13/2011parentI LOVE this school. Mrs. Raj was the best teacher ever. My son has been going to this school since Kindergarten and now he's in 3rd grade. I took him out for a few months due to moving far west and his grades fell below average, he started getting into trouble, etc. I put him back in Camelback Academy and have not had any problems from him. The office staff is beyond wonderful, the school director Mrs. Kordon is beyond wonderful, the after school coaches are great!! There's not enough words to describe how great the school's curriculum is. I love this school!!
11/13/2009parentMy daughter attended this school in first grade, Mrs.Raj was not just an excellent teacher but also very caring about the students. We have since moved from AZ but my daughter still talks about her to this very day.
9/12/2009parentMy daughter was in La Petite Academy for almost 3 years before she started kindergarten this year at Camelback Academy. I had checked the test scores for surrounding public schools and charter schools, and Camelback was definitely a better one! I had read very few reviews on how bad Camelback academy was, even the one referring to it as being ran by the pom and cheer squad. I am a very particular person, expecially when in reference to my child, and the environments surrounding her. Not only is this school ran by peppy people who love what they do, but also, people who sincerely care that your child is there. It's almost like an appreciation that you are entrusting your child into their capable hands! My daughters teacher, Ms. Breed is excellent about getting back to me with questions, concerns, or comments. I recommend this school 100%!!
9/12/2009parentMy daughter, too, was in La Petite for the State employees. I believe fully that the way it was ran prepared her for kindergarten this year. I chose Camelback Academy because it was close to my home, tested better than other surrounding schools, and had a lower percentage of spanish speakers, which makes it easier for my child, since she doesnt know a lick of Spanish. I think that this helps her because the class room is more focused on learning regular kindergarten material opposed to teaching english to those who can't and leaving behind english speaking children to wait on the spanish speakers. My childs teacher is wonderful and I definitely know I picked the right school for her to excel and flourish! All of the staff is friendly and helpful!
3/31/2009parent8 out of 10, because my daughters go to school there and I like this school because my oldest daughter has been going there and she likes it. now She is going out of 6 grade soon ; she has been there since 1st.
5/3/2008parentMy daughter is now finishing 5th grade and has been at Camelback since 1st grade. This school has been much better for her than the nearby public school she initially attended. Being a special needs child, Camelback has always been a positive and safe place for her. At Camelback, they have a professional who works with special needs children, Dr. Fritz, who has worked with my daughter, her teachers, and our family, which has helped my daughter greatly. I never had a single email I sent, or concern about my daughter ignored by anyone at this school. The principal, staff and teachers never expressed to me they were anything but caring professionals. Camelback has additional benefits that many other charter schools don t offer, such as art classes, music classes and free after school clubs and more. Not only do I like this school, but my daughter always has liked Camelback.
2/22/2008parentMy son use to go to thi school. They principle wants you to come to her if you have a problem. This is a joke. She screens her calls. Does not responde to email. and If you go to the school to see her she is always in meetings. Her mouth piece is an negitave educator who thinks she is above the world and unable to be touched by the board of education. If you have a special needs child stay away from this school. If your child is not a perfect angle stay away from this school. Oh yeah did I say this school is ran by the pom and cheer scaud of our days. If you didn't like them then you wont like them now!
9/11/2007parentMy first child started at a local public school and it was the worst thing ever .At camelback I realized that there are teachers that still teach because they truly care.My children are doing great and really love their school. I wouldnt change schools for anything. Except middle school because they dont do it.
9/6/2007otherMy granddaughter is a kindergartner at Camelback Academy. So far this year has proven to be a very positive experience for her. Th classes are small, her teacher Mrs. Clapp is great!
9/5/2007parentStill a member of this great school. My son is in the second grade now and he loves his teachers and the staff. I would not change schools for any reason.
4/20/2007parentMy daughter is about to finish up her first year of school at Camelback Academy. I have been very impressed with her school and her teacher. She has learned more then I ever imagined, but more importantly she has developed a love for school, and learning. She has been recognized on several occasions for her 'character' which is helping build her self esteem as well as strong foundation for the importance of morals and respect. I would encourage anyone to come take a look, the school has truly gone above and beyond my expectations!
12/22/2006parentMy son has been at Camelback Academy for 4 years. His teachers have all been great and are very caring people who want the best for all the children. The staff and administration all know my sons name and truely care what is going on in his life. I have never been to a school where a child as young as 6 will turn around and hold the door for you as you are coming in. Character really does count at Camelback academy.
6/4/2006parentI transferred my children to camelback at least 2 years ago and, have never regreted it.It was the best decision I have ever made. The staff is great.Compared to the school they where at before everything is great. It is shocking to see how completely different things are ran when people actually care.
5/30/2006parentCamelback Academy is a great school compared to the public schools in its same area. The teachers are great.
4/26/2006parentThis school really keeps surprising me ... everyday I am more confident I made the right decision in switching my daughter schools. I would recommend this school to anyone!
3/31/2006parentLast week, I pulled my daughter from the school she went to for 5 years. She was being bullied and no one would do anything about it. She was really worried about changing to a school where she knew no one. She is a very shy child and needs help adapting. The students and staff at Canelback Academy were off the charts in hospatality. WOW is all I have to say. My daughter is learning about new things that totally interest her. I would recommend this school to anyone who will listen! You see smiling faces at drop off & pick up DAILY! Her new 4th grade teacher is amazing, she speaks very highly of him. If you are looking for a school that has AMAZING projects and cirriculum, look no further. This school is genuine and full of fun and exciting new ways to learn. 200%
3/10/2006parentI was a little nerves about sending my daughter to this school but even tho its so small it is a very excellent school in a very big way. I am truly amazed of all the support from teachers, staff and other parents.
1/10/2006parentWe just arrived from California and didn't want to place our kids in a traditional public school because of the simple fact that kids get lost with such over crowdedness. Camelback gives my children the attention they deserve, the teachers really care, the staff knows my kids by name and the school is always kept nice and clean. I have recommended this school to a family with a future kindergardener. The Vargas Family
9/18/2005parentI think this school is the worst my child has been to.
3/7/2005parentI really like the school. My kids love going there. the teachers and staff are very supportive. I like that they are keeping it small. They won't have anymore than 450 students total I think, and I like that.
