| 3/3/2011 | teacher | I noticed that the reviews on this page are several years old and very out of date. Due to budget cuts many of the excellent programs that used to be available at this school are no longer available. Discipline and teacher support are lacking and many of the best teachers have left. There is a quality vocational education program, however, this results in students being pushed in to vocational education track and steered away from going in to college. Support for seniors that are college bound and looking for scholarships is highly biased. |
| 7/18/2007 | parent | As a parent of two children who will be attending PHS this school year 2007-2008, I am proud to say that my children have met or exceeded the AIMS test. I believe PUSD is exactly what I as a parent expect of a school to do for their students and parents. Keep it up PUSD..... |
| 2/25/2006 | parent | The quality of academic programs offered at Page High School is better than any other school in Arizona. the offer many classes that will help them in the work or academic field. The availablity of music, art, and other extracurricular activities is greatly offered their WGI team is the best in the nation and sports are very recognized in Arizona. Their basketball, cross-country, volleyball, etc are always ranked as the top ten in Arizona. The level of parent involvement is tremendous, since this is a small town every parent likes to get involved with their child's progress in school and attend every meeting. |
| 3/28/2003 | | I am actually a former student here- class of '97. I found it a very good school overall. The quality of teachers is high, although caring about their students may vary widely from teacher to teacher. Since my best teachers were mainly in subjects I was good at anyway, I was happy. I don't know if this matters to most people when selecting a school, but I always felt loved there. Besides... ^_^ ...this is the only high school in Arizona in that area unless you want to drive an hour to Kayenta... I would definetly recommend Page. I would also recommend finding some activity you enjoy with others, so you don't get lost in the shuffle that is high school. Good luck! |
