| 6/19/2012 | parent | My daughter has been home for a year now since graduating from the program at CCA in May of 2011. She has now graduated high school after completing her senior year successfully at home. This would have been impossible if she had not attended CCA. She was on a path of self destruction that scared us to death. The environment at CCA is a unique and incredible one that allows young women to unravel their past behavior and its consequences within the confines of a nurturing home setting supported by engaged therapists, loving staff and an executive team that cares about each and every girl on campus. Their commitment to my daughter's recovery amazes me still today. |
| 5/26/2012 | parent | 11 Months ago when we had our daughter transported to CCA, she was using drugs, drinking, on track to never graduate from High school and needless to say our family was deeply in crisis. A little over a week ago she graduated high school at CCA, she's clean and sober, now home for the summer (and yes she got herself a job) and in the fall will be attending college (She applied to 5 and got accepted to 4). Yes we're very proud of her. I can't say enough good things about the program and staff at CCA. People who do what they do because they know they're making a difference. We have our daughter back and we owe it to our friends at Copper Canyon Academy. |
| 5/24/2012 | parent | Our daughter attended CCA as a step down program after completing the program at Turn About Ranch. We knew that she was not yet ready to withstand the tempations and challenges in the outside world. CCA afforded her the opportunity to finish high school in a theraputic and safe environment. We firmly believe that the extra 8 months at CCA allowed her to practice the skills learned at TAR and continue to grow into a young woman who can accomplish anything she sets her mind to. The self esteem she gained by attending CCA is nothing short of amazing. You have to know it is a fantastic program when each and every graduate thanked their parents for sending them and many of them stated that they would probably have created their own demise if the parents had not had the love and determination to send them and have them complete the program. CCA has made a important and lasting impact on our entire family. The communication skills she learned will benefit our daughter in personal and professional environments for the rest of her life. The staff is top notch and their professionalism and ability to relate to both the child and the parents was a life changer. |
| 5/23/2012 | parent | I remember the day I decided to send my daughter to Copper Canyon Academy (CCA). I was scared, tired, and overwhelmed with the enormity of the decision I was about to make. My daughter had crossed a line in life over which some people never return, and I realized she would require a lot of support way more than I could provide myself to get her life back on track. I decided to entrust my daughters recovery to CCA one of the toughest and best decisions I ve made as a parent. In the 10 months my daughter attended CCA, she developed from a troubled teen who couldn t go a day without using, into a strong young woman who can and will do wonderful things for the world. She learned to respect herself, her mind and her body and cope with difficult situations in positive ways. She gained communication skills to help circumvent conflict, and raised failing grades to nearly all A s and B s. During that time, I attended three CCA Workshops designed to teach me the skills I would need to support her recovery, return home and long term success in life. I ll be forever thankful to CCA for their professionalism, commitment, and the remarkable results they produced through their program. |
| 1/5/2012 | parent | Copper Canyon has been a god-send for our daughter. At Copper Canyon, she learned about her mental condition, how to cope with it, what medications would make all the difference. Then the really terrific stuff happened, where she emerged as her true self, confident, fun, thoughtful and grounded. I feel that my daughter was truly saved and would not be here today without Copper Canyon, and this is not an overstatement. I strongly recommend this school to anyone looking for a total solution where their daughter can learn about herself and heal. |
| 1/3/2012 | parent | Copper Canyon Academy has changed my families life in a positive way forever. We are grateful for what the staff did for our family and our daughter. Our daughter would not be alive today if it wern't for making the hardest decision we have ever made as a parent and sent our daughter to CCA. The therapy offered at CCA is fantastic. The entire gets involved. Individual, group and family. I would definitely recommend this program to others looking for help and support with a struggling teenage daughter. Our daughter has a new and healthy perspective of what matters most in her life. Thank You CCA. Submitted by a parent |

| 12/16/2011 | parent | CCA is a therapeutic boarding school for girts with emotional issues, age 14 to 18. It offers both high school academic education and a fabulous therapeutic program to promote wellness. My daughter entered CCA in February, 2011 at age 17 and completed the requirements for high school, graduating in July. The teachers and their classes are excellent. The school even has a program to prepare students for the SAT examinations, with these exams taken on campus. The academic side of CCA prepares well the students for entering college. It's the therapeutic program at CCA, however, that distingishes this school. My daughter has dealt well with her emptional issues and will graduate for the therapeutic program on December 19, 2011. This program cannot be praised too much. It has helped my daughter move from darkness into light. The program also involves working with parents. I too have experienced emotional growth, and am now better prepared to help my daughter. CCA is just about as ideal an institution of education for both academics and treatment as it gets. I recommend CCA most highly without qualification. |
| 7/20/2009 | parent | This school is amazing! All my children attended or are attending the school and it has great teachers that truely care about their students and their educations. |
| 4/4/2008 | student | The school curriculum is a total joke. They didn't know what to do with me because I had so many credits. To make up for the fact they advise that 'you focus on therapy.' I was sent without any form of alcohol or drug addiction, but for 'family discord'. Understandably there were several girls there that this was a life saving move, but I firmly believe there are better alternatives. Please consider a wilderness program, such as Anasazi, and conduct a search for the appropriate school. The Oakley School, also run by Aspen, was strongly recommended by my theraist who openly admitted I was not in the right school. All these schools are buisness venues, keep that in mind when they are praising their school. Additonally, tours are conducted by girls close to leaving and would be dropped for stating their opinions. Keep an open mind and don't make decisionsin haste. |
