I really like that the teachers contact me for good things as well as for bad. I also like the web page. I have a child at the HS and they don't put the buletin on the internet, or stay up to date like the jr high does. |

| 12/12/2006 | parent | Basically, I agree with the other two parents. I have other questionable concerns about the staff at that school, which I plan to address at a meeting coming up soon. I went to talk to the principal about my concerns, and of course they (principal or assist principal) were not available. So sad, I am not pleased! |

The merge had nothing to do with raising test scores as one indicates. Maybe this parent needs to do some homework as to why the merge. |

| 5/25/2004 | parent | There is a reassignment of grade levels in our community right now, where all 8th graders in the city of Barstow will be forced to attend Kennedy Middle School. My daughter is affected by this, and has had to test at this school. The school is gated and guarded like a prison. The staff was curt and somewhat impolite. The children were loud and unruly and the teachers were screaming at them to get in line. Outside. Inside, the library where my daughter was testing was just slightly more under control. She was more than surprised at how boisterous this atmosphere was and didn't approve. This move is being forced because this school can't make the grade according to federal guidelines and needs the students from my daughter's school to raise their average. Is this fair? Why should my daughter or yours be forced into the worst school in town? |
