| 3/13/2012 | parent | Too much time and money is spent providing breakfast and health care to students. I provide that for my child. It seems the focus in the school is mostly to teach English to non-native speakers, and everybody else can stand by while they 'get it'. Standing in the office one day, Spanish was the immediate language used by the school secretary to communicate to a student who entered the office. This school saw fit to saddle my second grade student with a bitter, tenured teacher who was demoted from a high-level administrative position at her previous school. Staff members with children in the same grade made sure that their children were not part of that class. Our child was lucky enough to be under the instruction of excellent teachers the first years attending Elkhorn. This school year I feel my child was done a great disservice. |
