6/6/2011parentThis school is AMAZING. The teachers are friendly and creative. Too bad the secretaries are so mean. "Fake nice" doesn't count as helpful, welcoming, or friendly.
4/11/2010parentWe have many great schools in Irvine. We are blessed!! College Park is a wonderful school. Teachers are devoted and they really care. The staff are nice and helpful. It is a friendly school! The principal is a man of great character. There is no perfect school if one expects the school to do all the right thing and somehow generate great students. Education starts at home and parents need to get involved . Support your children and your teachers. The great school is where you are!
3/25/2010parentThe teachers are great. Don't like the principal. If you disagree with the principal, you can be assured you won't get the support you needed or be treated fairly . I took my child to another school.
11/3/2009parentIt has the most caring and devoted teachers!
10/22/2009parentThe teachers care about the students and they ensure that the children grasp the lessons taught. They keep good communication with the parents and are very informative about their concerns with your child. Great school.
10/22/2009parentthe greatest school because not one kid goes unnoticed and they encourage the kids to be as who they are! a kid! Mr. Battenfield is the best principal! he is great with the kids and treats them fairly! he has great communication skills with all the parents! even those who dont speak english!
10/20/2009parentI Love College Park Elementary for the teachers and the Principal for the passion and love they show for the children year after year!
10/20/2009parentEffective in a fun and caring way. The teachers rock!!
8/27/2009parentCollege Park School is a very good school. The grounds need to be kept up better though. It's an older school and really shows its age. The teachers are great though.
7/30/2006parentThis school deservedly won California Distinguished school 2006! An excellent, safe, fun learning environment and a great PTA which facilitates really amazing assemblies and such. (For example, having Medieval Times knights and horses right there in the grassy field!)A friendly neighborhood school, don't go by looks as it is older. Principal Mr. Battenfield is very energetic and available to the kids and is just wonderful.
5/25/2006parentThis is a wonderful school! My son just completed 1st grade & is doing fantastic in both reading & math. They use the 'Reading Counts' computer program which tests comprehension after reading selected stories, and require daily math and reading homework. The principle is the best & most involved I've ever seen, and they just received new playground equipment, & I know my son played soccer this term with other kids on the playground. They have 'Rainbow Rising' for after school care. My son loved his 1st grade teacher who was firm but very caring & fun. My son looked forward to going to school every day. The school also has a nice mix of kids & active PTA. Parents volunteer in the classroom-we couldn't be more pleased!
11/2/2005parentVery good teaching staff, best environment, spacious, computers in classrooms at KG level. Every student is accuratly accessed and helped to improve. All kinds of extra-curricular activities.
3/22/2004parentDon't go by the looks. This is an old school but has adequate facilities. Very good and experienced teachers who bring a very friendly and family like atmosphere to the school. The new principal is very energetic and rallies people together making this a fun experience for the kids.
