| 8/7/2012 | parent | For a successful education, you need 3 things: involved parents, a willing student and a school that cares. Way to go Huskies! Sorry to read the bitter complaint from ONE parent. Many happy students and parents are in HV. Good luck for another GREAT year! |
| 6/27/2012 | parent | The Lafayette schools are just the best of the worst as far as public schools...save your money, buy a less expensive house and invest in a private school education. Your kids will thank you and you won't have to deal with the attitude public school teachers and administrators give you. The best decision we ever made was to leave! |
| 9/19/2006 | parent | My daughter is in Kindergarten and her teacher is terrific. She emphasizes academics but not at the expense of social development. Learning while playing is key to development. Homework is optional, which also has a statement on it saying, 'Homework should be fun. If it isn't, don't do it'. The teacher really cares about the children, that is clearly evident. My daughter gets instruction in music and art from the Lafayette Arts & Science Foundation (LASF). Parent involvement is a must and the rate of involvement is very high. |
| 11/14/2005 | teacher | Happy Valley is wonderful school with not only amazing teachers, but also an abundance of resources such as a great school libruary, excellent extracurricular activities, and afterschool student support/programs (great for working parents). |
| 3/5/2004 | parent | I have had three children graduate from this elemetary school. I currently have one in fifth grade and a two year old who will follow into this same elementary school. The three older children had a long time Principal and the rules were not negotiable if the 'violation' was serious and on going. The new Principal, is doing a good job but not when it comes to the overal safety and discipline of all children. She is doing a good job with the younger children so this will improve with time. I love the location of the school and the Parent involvement. The Staff and Teachers are committed to doing the best for all of the children at the school. |
