| 6/11/2011 | parent | While we received the Disinguished School Award, I'm not sure why... The school is in need of repair, communication is very poor with teachers and principals, and this is coming from a parent who goes through everything in my kids' backpacks. The parent involvement is HORRIBLE, there are a few parents that step up to the plate and do almost everything, very sad. Why do people have kids if they can't be involved in raising and educating them. I am mt child's first and foremost teacher; it's too bad the majority of parents don't see it that way. |
| 5/26/2008 | parent | I love Ophir School. Just look at our test scores and compare them to the other schools in Oroville... they speak for themselves. As with any school, you are always going to have leadership issues and Ophir is not alone there but the parent involvement & dedication along with the fabulous teachers is amazing! I did my due diligence before even moving to Oroville from a big city & seeing this school and all their scores - it sold me. It will continue to get better & better as long as parents continue to stay involved and care. :) |
| 5/13/2004 | parent | Ophir is a wonderful small community school. The year round program works well here and most families have adapted very well. Most parents are very involved. Teachers are dedicated. Students are happy. Great school! |
