| 9/25/2012 | other | Shadow Hills Intermediate is only what the students/parents make of it. I was a part of the 3rd graduating class of the brand new campus under a seemingly trial-and-error based administration, simply trying to make things work with the cards dealt. At the time, the school was one of the nicer intermediate schools to attend in terms of reputation, active parent involvement and the brand new facilities. Many of my classmates went on to graduate high school, attend 4-year universities and even succeed at a graduate level, including myself. Unfortunately most of which is far fetched of the average East Palmdale student. (I'm speaking from experience, not actual numbers) I benefitted from the school's GATE program, a few stand-out teachers, the music program, and the sports program. Shadow Hills offered a High School Night which helped me find the right fit for High School in the AV. What the school could have used was more motivation! The staff, facilities, and tools are all there, but the Parents must teach their children to be proactive, the Staff must encourage and challenge the students to excel and the Students must have more pride in where they live and attend school. |
| 11/23/2011 | other | Shadow Hills is far the worst school I've ever been too. Not only because it's a public school and we have to wear uniforms, but because of the poor use of the locker rooms and the rest of the school's property. So now I would like to declare that Shadow Hills is a nightmare. |
| 9/28/2011 | other | Shadow hills is an okay school i am a student there and all my teachers are great. However there should not be any uniform I think uniform doesn't let us express our individuality. |
| 2/8/2011 | parent | Shadow Hills was one of the worst schools that I have ever went to, the teachers, principals, and staff are horrible. |
| 9/7/2010 | parent | My daughter went to Shadow Hills 2 years ago, and I had nothing but problems there. My son has now started there today in fact and Im already needing to contact the District office. Very disapointed!!!! |
| 8/11/2009 | student | Lets see.....Shadow hills is a great school and all. Though,,,its like not my favorite. I personally, as a student there, want more sports. Like a softball team, etc. And its a public school, we shouldnt have uniform. |

| 3/8/2009 | teacher | Shadow Hills is the best intermediate school in the Antelope Valley. Compared to similar schools in California, SH scores a 9 out of 10 by the California State Board of Education standards. SH is dedicated to closing the achievement gap by employing Highly Qualified teachers; teaching to the state standards; and presenting a rigorous curriculum. |
| 8/21/2007 | parent | the campus is great, but otherwise, not that great. |
| 5/2/2007 | parent | This school is hit and miss. You have some fantastic teachers and others who just don't care. For example, Mr. Bowlin drives almost 100 miles each way to teach and boy does he put his all into every student. Overall though I would say this is a very good school. |
