| 10/8/2012 | other | I attended this school for 3 years, I graduated last year, and I am currently in college. The school is very good and the teachers do their best to educate the students. The only downside I noted was some students doing drugs, some graffiti, and one or two fights. Other than that, I loved the school and I miss being there with my friends. |
| 6/29/2012 | student | i dont know what everyone is talking about sayin serrano sucks. serrano is amazing with grades and sports especially football. we are number 3 in california and we have respectful teachers. this school by far is the best one in the inland empire and the high desert. |
| 11/7/2011 | parent | A wonderful school....no complaints. Love the principal. Awesome kids and staff. I love the way they make the kids read daily. <3 |
| 3/9/2011 | student | This school is safe and have some very good teachers, but not enough great teachers. Some of them get pregnant or sick and we don't learn ANYTHING. And for example, after a teacher was absent for 2 weeks, they expect us to know the material that she DIDN'T teach and she gives us a test on it. What the heck? There's also a little bit or racism that goes on occasionally. |
| 1/17/2011 | student | i hate this school so much the least motavated school ever the kids do things that should not be done we had drug dogs come in every classroom and check all of our backpacks its a scary school. |
| 6/22/2009 | student | This school is very well secured by the staff, and I say keep up the good work. |
| 6/17/2009 | parent | My son attended school in the Snowline school district since fourth grade. It went from ok, to really bad before we managed to move to Temecula area, where he now see's just what a poor education he was receiving. The teachers don't really seem to care to teach, since their attitude seems to be that 'these kids' won't be going anywhere anyway. My son got great grades, and was the top of his class in all subjects. But when we relocated he was way behind his new classmates. It's a shame the area of the High Desert has been given over to the crime and low education expectations of it's relocated residents! |
| 2/10/2009 | student | I had the best time of my life at Serrano when I was there from 03-07. It was a blast and obviously I got the best education in the high desert. I am at a four year university, and I know that the experiences, classes, and teachers that I went through and had all made this possible. They care at this high school which in some high schools is not the case. They push their students to strive for the best and help to make that happen. The faculty is a really big reason why I will always carry this pride of graduating from Serrano and calling it my high school. The faculty may be young but they definitely are not inexperienced. I am so fortunate to have been able to attend this high school and I will never forget why I love it so much!!! |
| 1/29/2009 | other | Serrano is a good school with many dedicated teachers. They encourage the students to go to college and take them through the steps of getting into college. Yes, they show the students using the application process and class registration process of the local junior college but it is a good program that gets students in the right frame of mind for applying to colleges. I should know, I was a student there and guess what I am now attending a 4-yr university. Serrano's programs encourage students to be involved in the community and to pursue further education. |
| 10/24/2008 | other | It doesn't look like a high school, but a big overgrown elementary campus. The teachers seem young and inexperienced. I think there is alot of nepitism here. |
| 10/24/2008 | parent | Serrano is very slow to interate students into mainstream America. They want all there students to go to junior colleges and they show lack of leadership in pushing a student to their potential. I believe every student should know and seek their options as to why they are attending high school. To make a better life beyond, Phelan. |
| 10/18/2008 | parent | I'm the parent one of student in this school, and older son graduated this school 10 years ago.Which I'm very proud of them because of this scool achievement, enthusiasm and restriction for the childrens behavior.of course made their opportunity to reach thire goal any desired university. As my son mentioned M.I.T. last week, and I think so too,It's because Serrano graduated kids will make happen! |
| 9/13/2008 | student | serrano high school is the BEST school I have ever been to, and I ahve only been there for about, one month! the teachers and students are amazing! |
| 1/24/2008 | student | I'm a current student and I love Serrano. Like every school, we have our problems but we have a lot of programs to help those problems. Compared to many schools, I think our student chemistry is strong. We have high scores and achieving sports. What more could you ask for. |
| 11/12/2007 | teacher | This school is safer tham most in the High Desert, but woe if you are a minority student. There is a lot of racism on this campus by both students and staff. |
| 7/5/2007 | student | We may be over crowded but the teachers are great and most of them actually care about the students. I don't think there are problems with the school or adminstration I think there are problems with the students. Our high school is great if you want it to be! |
| 4/24/2007 | parent | Serrano High School is an excellent school with very committed teachers and the best leadership. It is safe, clean, and the kids are friendly. The academics are the best and the kids get a great education. |
| 4/23/2007 | student | I'm not a parent at Serrano High School, I'm a student. Serrano is crowded, dirty, and violent. The administration will catch about two fights a week when in reality there are about three a day, we are just smart about how to hide them. It is a school built for about two thousand and we currently have about three thousands students, give or take. |
| 1/7/2007 | parent | Serrano may have good test scores but that's about it. |
| 9/8/2006 | parent | The school has high standards it is true, but what about the student who is merely average or struggles to be average. This school does not work with students and parents at all, it is by the book. Those students who are A students are even very stressed, there is something wrong here. |
| 5/4/2006 | parent | My experience as a parent have been positive. The office personnel have always been helpful and courteous. The teachers have always been responsive to my questions, and the facilities are clean. |
| 4/3/2006 | student | This is an awesome school.....yet sadly.....it's in the middle of nowhere! But the school is worth the drive and safety of your child |
| 2/24/2006 | former student | This school is fine as far as keeping kids out of trouble and everything. In my opinion though, they should take more time to ensure that seniors have more opportunities come graduation time. Other than that, they have excellent classe and staff who really care about your life goals. |
| 8/10/2005 | former student | Im a student who attended Serrano and has found that it is one of the best schools ive been to.Altought some of the staff need to lighten up.:) |
| 1/28/2005 | student | Well the music, art, and sports are good, and level of parent involvement is high because in order to get response by a counsellor or any other person there needs to be a parent because they will not just respond to just a student. |
| 11/17/2004 | parent | I have been very happy with the quality of education and the security at Serrano High. I believe that any student that applies him or herself will get a wonderful education. |
| 6/9/2004 | student | This school is awesome! The teachers actually acknowledge you, and show deep interest in your lifelong goals. Also the AP classes are just the right amount of challenge! Way to go Mr. Buchta! I don't know of any other school that offers Ballet, Jazz, Aerobics and Rugby. |
| 5/21/2004 | former student | Serrano High School was a wonderful place to attend. There was a level of student/teacher/parent interaction that I have not seen anywhere else. There was a wonderful mix of extracurriculars so that any student could find something to be involved in. |
| 10/20/2003 | teacher | I am fortunate enough to teach at the best public high school in the High Desert. It's no secret that we have the cleanest, safest campus--and our students rock!! |
| 9/4/2003 | other | I absolutly love this school! I love going there, we have the best time, the teachers work hard for every student and we definitely have a ton of extra activities |
| 8/25/2003 | former student | Serrano is a good school, but they can work on the rewards that the students can get for their grades i.e. Citizenship Awards, Honor Roll Awards, anything that can be looked highly upon by colleges ; not just Renaissance Cards that give you discounts, but awards that won't expire. |
