| 10/24/2012 | other | Parent be careful with this school, the principle did not take responsible and teach or any adult in school would call parent when your kid get bully. one student from this school get bully by two other student using balloon string tied on his neck and pull, causing bleeding and he can't breath. The school stuff did not call parent nor contact emergency instead they try to hide it until school over. No action taken to bully until other student report to the office. when question the two bully denied until many student step up to proof these two student were bullying school. principle promise to call parent when when injured student parent asked to, but no one had ever give a call, when parent follow up the front desk said there is nothing to talk about. I feel that this is need to be known and the parent will filling complain and possible lawsuit to the school. |
| 1/3/2012 | parent | Great band program. Kids not only learn music but are also held to a higher standard in good manners and discipline. They visit less fortunate people that helps them experience empathy towards others, such as, people in need, elderly, homeless, and people with an illness or disability. You will see your child grow emotionally and be more caring towards others than the average kid their age. I have not yet met the principal but the teachers I have interacted with are very supportive and helpful. They really care about your child's success. I imagine the principal to be the same. |

| 5/24/2007 | parent | I have attended SSC meetings and it's a shame that only a few parents can attend. Some of these kids need the discipline so these few ruin it for the rest of the students. I think they are a little harsh on disciplining a child for needing to use the restroom. I believe they should at least have a hall pass for a limited time. They have many extracurricular activities for the students. The teachers are great on responding back to you through e-mail when you need to check your child's progress. Overall the school has been a good experience. |
| 1/24/2007 | parent | North park is a school that has strict cliothing policies and other rules.The school is trying not to have deliquints, but there and over 500 kids there and they cant punish them all. Some good reasons about the school is they now have Math Counts and Speling Bees which is real great. The school also has had great dances. I would say teachers are strict there even though as a parent myself they should not be mad about every little thing. Overall its great! |

As a middle school, their credentials in the past few years: two performances at carnegie hall in new york, two rose parades in pasadena, and also a recent performance across the 'pond' in london. |

| 5/8/2006 | parent | The teachers in this school seem not to care for the acedemic and discipline of these children. The principle needs to get more involved in the acedemic performances. This school has scored low in API. Which means there is a problem. There also should include extracurricular activities besides band. This is important to keep kids from getting into trouble especially during half-days. The school is a disappointment. They need more staff that motivate kids instead of talking doen at them. |
