| 10/24/2012 | parent | Overall this is a pretty decent school. Some excellent teachers that actually care about my child, not just test scores, but I do have some concerns on how some teachers treat their students. I notice that sometimes they can be rude when asked questions, which makes some children uncomfortable approaching them with question. Also, my child has had his PE clothes and shoes stolen a couple of times. I do also have concerns with safety. I do see the buses drive too fast. |
| 8/16/2011 | parent | My daughter just graduated from Rivera and my youngest will be starting school here this year. The staff in Rivera really do care about our children. They work with the parent to give the child the best education. The Principal works with you to make sure your child is not left behind. PTO is very active and that is why this school has been named a Distinguished School of California. Way to go Rivera Eagles! |
| 8/13/2009 | student | i think this school is great for my child. There are many after school activities and they have great scores on their tests. |
| 8/22/2007 | parent | My son just graduated from Rivera and It upsets me that we don't give more credit to the teachers and administration at our school. He got into the GATE program with his high scores while he was at this school thanks to the caring teachers. He was in the music program, math counts, and other programs there. Parents need to stop complaining and start contributing to the school if we want it to be betterl. |
| 8/3/2006 | parent | My daughter went to summer school at Rivera. I was dismayed by the lack of supervision and the overall condition of the school. We opted for a private school in the area. |
| 8/7/2005 | parent | could be more involvement from parents speaking with teachers to help improve their childs grades and performance. |
| 2/23/2004 | parent | I'm concerned about safety, specially in the locker-rooms, since ther is no one supervising the children while they are inside changing after P.E. also while they are riding on the school buses, I seen the buses driving on the streets and they are going very fast, even in residential areas. I think the school district have to take measures to prevent an accident from happening. |
