| 9/23/2012 | parent | My daughter attended this school from 2nd grade through 8th and the Point Loma Lower School was a great experience for her, however, I was disappointed with the Middle School, specifically her 8th grade year. Of the 4 times she came home crying after school 3 times were as a result of faculty. Ask about the Yes, No game, the 8th grade trip slection process (who thinks it's a good idea to throw a dozen 13-14 year olds into a room and ask them to select roommates for the week long trip?), and last, the award ceremony that seems to feed into the Queen Bee atmosphere with over half the students getting awards, thus leaving the other half feeling more than just a little inadequate. I am so happy to have my daughter happy again, and in a public high school! Save the money! |
| 11/17/2011 | parent | Years ahead in terms of appealing to my child's multiple intelligences, WWS Middle School's teachers and specialists work together to make my son's educational experience holistic and well-rounded. In addition to the forward-thinking curriculum, he is immersed in competitive athletics, metal shop, art, theater, band, Spanish, and much more. I attended their eight grade graduation before enrolling him there. I saw what great character kids they produce, and how close they are to their teachers. I was hooked and liked the fact that my boy can go to any private high school he wants from there. A great value too. |
