This is a very down-to-earth private school with a lot of involved parents and a core group of families that also is active at the parish. The leadership has gone through some changes resulting from tragedies and it is to her credit that the learning experience of the children is as good as ever. Teachers are committed to sound academics and Christian values. Our children love their school. |

The teachers are wonderful, talented and caring, the administration is outstanding, but the other St. Clare families are what make the school amazing! The school is diverse, academically challenging and a safe place to learn and grow. The school offers before and after care and often day care during spring and winter break. Summer camp is highly attended and includes camp fire nights and weekly field trips. We know our children are learning and developing in a supportive environment. |

The teachers are exceptional starting with Mrs. Rader. Each child is taught at his or her own level and needs without making them feel as if they are ill equipped to be with the other students. Love this school so much! |

It was built next to the Mission Santa Clara to help educate the children of the early settlers to the area. If you are looking for a school that incorporates an excellent reading & science programs with an active community of involved parents and good Catholic values you won't find a better school (we looked at over 5 other top private schools). The best advice we got was to look closely at the kids in Kindergarten and 8th grade (to see their inputs & outputs). The school has historical ties to the mission, Santa Clara University (the profs send their kids here and the college kids tutor at the school), Bellarmine and Notre Dame High School (both used to be next door).
